It was the Galaxy S26 FE launch event today, but Samsung’s tablet didn’t make an appearance – so where is it? Samsung just held its ‘Galaxy Event August 2026’, but something’s missing.
Where on earth is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12? We knew from the off that Samsung’s Galaxy Event wasn’t going to be a huge affair. There’s a reason it doesn’t have the ‘Unpacked’ label attached. Reports suggest that they’re going to represent a fairly minor upgrade on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

There’s also the simple fact that tablets – and especially Android tablets – aren’t as big a deal as they used to be. They’re certainly not up there with the top smartphones in the internet buzz stakes.
While we’re not entirely sure where the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 is, then, we’re not entirely surprised that we didn’t hear anything about it at today’s event. Nor are we at all worried about its future. All being well, we’ll be hearing about Samsung’s tablet plans over the coming weeks.
